• Rev. Erich Christman - Pastor

    Erich came to St.John's in 1985 when he served as a college intern during his senior year at Defiance College.  He then spent two years on staff as the Director of Christian Education before he and his wife, Lynne spent eight years in outdoor ministry.  Erich became our Student Associate Pastor in 1996, serving on staff while earning his Masters of Divinity at Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay.  Ordained in 2004, Erich was called as the pastor of St. John’s in the spring of 2006.  The two previous pastors of the congregation mentored Erich as he grew in spiritual and pastoral knowledge and wisdom.  Erich’s passions revolve around biblical preaching and hands-on-missions.  Erich and Lynne, and are blessed to be the parent’s of Ryan and Amy.   • Roger Miller - Treasurer

    Roger and his wife, Sandy, live in Archbold and have two adult children, Craig and Beth.  Roger's role as church treasurer spans several decades.  He is retired from the Rich Ford Dealership here in Archbold, and enjoys traveling and working part time at Archbold SuperValu.

  • Alex Young - Associate Pastor

    Alex joined the SJCC staff on November 1, 2016.  Born and raised in North Canton, Ohio, Alex graduated from Grove City College in 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts in Biblical and Religious Studies, and received a Masters of Divinity in 2016 from Covenant Theological Seminary.  He volunteered with Young Life and served as a fraternity chaplain while in college.  While in seminary, Alex served as an intern at Bethesda Evangelical Church in St. Louis, MO, and at Good Works in Athens, Ohio.  He now resides in Archbold, Ohio and is getting to know Archbold and the surrounding communities.  He enjoys being outside, hiking, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and reading.  Email Alex 

  • Sue Grieser - Administrative Assistant

    After 23 years in the marketing department of a local manufacturing company, Sue answered God’s call and accepted the administrative position here at St. John’s in April, 2007.  She loves serving the Lord and sharing her heart for Jesus in all she does.  Sue and her husband, Tim, have three adult children, Heather, Hope and Eric, and have embraced being grandparents to three very special little girls, Addison, Elise and Natalie.  Sue loves spending time with her family, and also enjoys tennis, golf, and officiating softball and volleyball in her spare time.   • Kim M. Walker - LOGOS Director

    Kim Walker accepted the position of LOGOS Director in August, 2017.  LOGOS is our Wednesday evening youth program that encompasses programming activities for youth ages 4 years old through the 12th grade.  Kim also works part time as a lab technician for a local health center.  Kim and her husband, Greg, live in Archbold and have three children, Michael (a senior in college), Cayla (a sophomore in college), and Toby (a senior in high school).  Kim loves the Lord, and in her spare time she enjoys running, biking and reading.  Email Kim

  • Dean Buckenmeyer - Custodial

    Following a long-time career as a feature writer, Dean now works full-time at Sauder Woodworking and serves part-time as the main (lead) custodian of the church, overseeing a part-time custodial assistant. He has three adult children - Alicia, Dustin and Eric. His interests include cooking over campfires, touring historical sites, camping, hiking and biking.

  • Nick Rice - Custodial

    Nick joined our staff in September of 2014.  Nick and his wife, Valerie, live in Archbold and have four beautiful, energetic young children - Ashalyn, Kinsey, Miley and Quinton.  He loves Jesus and working hard, and is currently undergoing extensive training to become an EMT on the Archbold Fire and Rescue Department.

  • Sue MacDonald - Preschool Staff

    Sue has a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio University, and has worked in the Early Childhood field since 1993. She was a preschool teacher and director for Head Start in Columbus, Ohio, and was a preschool director at a large Lutheran preschool in Pickerington, Ohio. Sue grew up in Ridgeville, and has been back in this area for about 6 years. She and her husband Tony have three sons, Lance, Chris and Oliver. Sue absolutely loves her job, and especially enjoys being able to pray with the children, read Bible stories and share the love of Jesus with them! In her spare time, Sue likes to read, knit, crochet and scrapbook.

  • Joan Wyse - Preschool Staff

    Joan has 20 years experience working with children, and has been at St. John's Christian Preschool since 2003.  She has a passion for working with children and feels like God gifted her to teach them.  Joan was recently married to Tracy Wyse.  Joan has one son, Levi married to Chelsea, that lives in Pennsylvania with a grandson, Noah and grandaughter,Emma.  Joan also has a step daughter, Ella.  Joan loves the Lord and enjoys sharing her faith with others.
