April 2021 Grief Workshop

St. John’s Stephen Leaders will be providing a four week grief support group in the chapel on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. on April 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. They will be using Kenneth Haugk’s Journeying Through Grief booklets: A Time to Grieve, Experiencing Grief, Finding Hope and Healing and Rebuilding and Remembering.  Support groups not only provide members with the opportunity to receive advice and support, but to give it as well. You will find that others have experienced feelings and struggles that are similar to your own. Grief is not a club anyone wants to belong to, once you’re in it though, there is a great benefit in surrounding yourself with others who know that bad days happen. We would love to have you join us! Please sign up on the bulletin board across from the office so we can be sure to have booklets for everyone.

What is Stephen Ministry?

We all face difficult times in life.  And when we do, it's so helpful to have someone there for you.  Our church uses Stephen Ministry as a resource to train volunteers how to be a good support for others.  And then we match these trained volunteers one-on-one, man-to-man and woman-to-woman, with someone going through a challenging time
